Bradco 408 Backhoe $4750!
This Bradco 408 Backhoe is new, demonstrated less than 1 hour, but weathered from outside storage. Most notable is the rust on the hydraulic cylinder rams. The best way to repair these would be to get the rams rechromed. The "poor boy" method would be to use emery cloth and smooth down all the corrosion spots, then oil the rams up so as to not damage the seals when operated. The seat will need to be replaced as well.
Other than that the backhoe is new and should give years of service. There are several pictures for your review.
Also included, but not pictured are 2 sets of mounts. These mounts bolt along the side of the tractor providing extra strength and a 4 point quik-attach system. One set of mounts is for a John Deere 5200, 5300, 5400. The other set is supposed to be for a JD 1070, 990 and may fit others of that series. These mounts could be modified to fit several other brands and models of tractors.
As we remember, these backhoes also could be made to mount to a 3 point hitch. Also, they had mounts available to fit skidsteer loaders such as Case and Bobcat. There were mounts to fit other tractors as well. Tractors such as New Holland, Ford, Kubota, Yanmar, Massey Ferguson (MF), and others.
